Here they come! Off the bus....

Melanie with her friend Brooke Thompson. She and Brooke went to pre-school together and are in the same class. If it's nice outside in the morning they play on the playground and then line up with their classroom on a line to head in.

MELANES FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

August 23, 2007 - Well, Melanie is off to Kindergarten and she likes it. I couldn't get her to wear her pretty dress, but I figured it wasn't worth fighting her over it! Melanie's teacher is Mrs. Gaffigan, we are excited about her and have heard wonderful things about her. Maddie is going into 2nd grade and her teacher is Mrs. Beck, I've also heard really great thing about her. Maddie said she was a lot of fun today! Robert drove home just for the morning to help get them off! We met them at the school when they got off the bus!

Just a few more pictures from the fair. Maddie with Grandpa Loren at the Collisium. We stayed late Sunday night and watched the draft horse hitch. NOne of the pictures of the horses turned out. What do think of the John Deere girls below Papa Larry, I think they are ready to mow your lawn Maddie did pretty good with the bumper car!

More rides and then jumping on the trampolines. Maddie was so excited that she figured out how to flip over backwards. She couldn't wait to show her Dad!

It was hot out, but not to hot for the girls to ride a lot of rides at the Illinois State Fair

More boating on Lake Springfield again, this time with 2nd cousin Hayley. Hayley, Lesley and Lorena were in town for the fair. Lesley is the Draft Horse Queen again this year. Both she and her sister Ashley have been the queen many times. This will be Lesley's last year. This was on Sunday morning August 12th. We also had some time for rides later that day at the fair!

On Sunday August 5th we went boating on Lake Springfield and took Emily with us! I don't think Melanie wanted to go tubing that day! Emily is a very brave tuber. Maddie is getting the hang of it but a little hesitant still. Maybe ski's next year?

TWO MORE TEETH

Maddie has now lost 12 teeth! She had to have two more pulled by the dentist because she doesn't have enough room in her mouth. She has had 5 total pulled. Melanie doesn't understand why Maddie gets all the tooth fairy money and everyday says her tooth is loose! Maddie was very brave!

McConnel Reunion

Sunday July 28th at the McConnell Reunion, the girls had a good time going down the water slide!

On Saturday July 28th we had a little get together (well not really little) for the Kreidlers. Our neighbors for more than two years now are moving to St. Louis! Emily is a good friend of Maddies, they have gone to pre-school (daycare) and Kindergarten and First grade together. We are really going to miss them!
